I can sort of understand the mild frustration of making an entirely non-racist comment and then being accused of racism for whatever reason.  The frustration would be even more justified if someone were to falsely refer to you as a racist in order to defame you.

BUT... when people KNOW that they've said or done something racist, I've seen plenty of them howl "Accusing someone of racism is just as bad as/worse than racism itself!!!" What the actual fuck?

Hell, even if you don't think you're racist, it's still irrational to act like being called one is the worst offense there is.  I've seen way too many people do this, and it's nothing short of pitiful.

Do you know what the "tu quoque" fallacy is?  Maybe you should refrain from doing it.  Calling people "fuckwits" won't make you look smarter.  Not committing common fallacies  will.

I apologize in advance for posting on your personal deviation and your personal Message Center about this, but the conversation started below, as you can check for yourself, and relates to calling out people for racism:

~Draw-and-Stuff has BLOCKED me for pointing out brutal massacre going on in South Africa against whites and systematic dismissal of it by the government, claiming that it's not possible for racism to work against whites. Talk about being RACIST. And willfully ignorant.

To anyone who feels like passing the message along: "Do you make a habit of dismissing something out of hand without exerting the MINISCULE amount of effort it takes to check if it's true or not? Wonderful age of technology we live in where you say "you're making shit up" before tapping one or two keys and clicking . . . and the important part, actually processing information in that gray matter between your ears instead of letting prejudice govern 'what's true.' It's called having an open mind."

Racism can happen to anyone. However, those targets should get out of that nation for their own sakes and because that land is not legitimately theirs given the history of the ordeal.

Right, and every colonial descendant in this increasingly globalized world should go back to their "homeland" because they aren't native, and they should "pay for the sins of their fathers." Yeah. It's not like they grew up where they are, have roots, and made their own living and community.

The ones brutally killing and raping shouldn't be called out on their actions and punished accordingly, they should instead be rewarded for their horrendous intimidation tactics. What kind of message does that send? (No civil petition or debate involved about land allotment, when their government in power would most likely favor them!!)

Great philosophy.

There may be the possibility of you using the "race card" as an excuse to get away with something that is offensive.

Naw yah silly goose! Racism=institutionalized oppression=only applies to white people. You're confusing racism with prejudice.

Right, because if a black manager of a company passes over a white candidate because he's white, that's not racism. 9_9

"Power" is not a singular entity. Society is an interweaving web of relationships that vary widely.
